Super Smash Bros. Universe: Music Discussion

Overview

Alright, post hashtag4! 2day Wii will talk about every1's fa4ite subject, Moosic!

...

Sorry... xD

Anyway, what's up guys! Cherrim98 (or TheOfficialCherrim) here to bring you the 4th blog post. Today we will be talking about Music. There are over 600 (*Hype Intensifies*) songs in this game, with more to be added. Music is what makes this game so hype. It builds up the energy of players when they start the game. People like me, for example, can perform better at video games with just the right music.

I've never looped a song so many times before...

My favorite song? That's a REALLY tough question... I listened to most of the video game songs in history I kinda memorized them all. Call me crazy with a K, but my favorite comes from the Fire Emblem series. It's called "Coliseum Series Medley." It's a medley of the attack themes in the first and fourth Fire Emblem games. I, myself have also made a Retro version of this medley. Both of these songs play on the "Coliseum" stage. What is your favorite song? Let me know in the comments section.
Questions?

Objection!

Will I add anymore songs? Yes, I will. Like this one.

Take that!

Aren't there too many songs? There can never be too many.

Hold it!

Can you request some songs? You may.

Questions answered.

Remixes, Originals, and Medleys.

Some songs in this game are original, this means the song is unchanged from who it was originally composed by (Copyright though of course). This song from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time called "Gerudo Valley," has an original version in Smash Universe.

"Gerudo Valley" also has a remix as well. A remix is a remastered version of the original song, it resembles the original song, but usually has more instruments and such.

Now, a Medley is a combination of multiple songs combined into one song. There are two types of medleys, a Medley and a Retro Medley. A Medley combines all the songs in it, but they are all remixed. Retro Medleys, however, combine the music that are original. For example, the Mega Man II Medley is a remix, while the Mega Man II Retro Medley is not.

Super Smash Bros. Universe: Stage Discussion

Overview

For my third post, I decided to talk about the stages. There are more stages than characters in this game. The stage roster is pretty large too, as some stages have representation in some universe as some characters do not. Most stages here, originate from Smash 64, Melee, Brawl, Smash 4 3DS, and Smash 4 Wii U. There are also many new stages in the game. Most people consider stages to be fun to play, with the many layouts and stage hazards to begin with. We call this term, "For Fun." However, most players prefer the flat, non-hazard stage, the skill of players, without items whatsoever. We call this term, "For Glory." What do you prefer? For Fun, or For Glory? Let me know in the comments section.

Stage Roster

There are over 150 stages in Super Smash Bros. Universe. As stated before, there are many from the actual Smash series. There are many stages not available of the start of the game, they must be unlocked by completing specific challenges. (Which will be in a later post.) The image below shows all the stages. Five of them aren't visible due to the images size. These stages are Battlefield, 25m (Donkey Kong), Mirror Chamber (Kirby and the Amazing Mirror), Find Mii, and Highway (Mega Man X). Which stage would you like to see in SSBUniverse?

Ω Stages

An Omega (Ω) Stage is a "For Glory" version of a regular stage. "For Glory" means flat with no hazards. These differ in appearance and aesthetics in this stage. The only thing that doesn't change is the music that plays on it. Here is an example of an Ω Stage:

Stage:Normal Form:Ω Form:
Mario Galaxy
The Normal Version has curved edges and a detailed background.
The Omega Version is flat, has no hazards, and doesn't have much of a background so people can concentrate.

My Music

My Music is a function that shows the soundtracks played on a certain stage. A stage can have a minimum of one song to a maximum of twenty. Songs are always chosen at random, but can be modified by using the code called "Music.cfg" in the folder to adjust what is played. Here is an example of a stage with many soundtracks played on it:

Stage:Image:Soundtracks:
Castle Siege (Fire Emblem)
The Normal Version has curved edges and a detailed background.

Power-Hungry Fool

Victory is Near

Together, We Ride! (Fire Emblem)

The Devoted

Shadow Dragon Medley

Shadow Dragon Retro Medley

So, as you can see, this stage has approximately 16 songs that plays on it. The blog post on Music will be here soon.

My favorite stage.

What is your favorite stage? Let me know in the comments below. Mine would be these stages: Galaga, Minecraft, and Space Invaders. I made these stages myself. You can play them in the game. I hope you like them. =) (Galaga is an unlockable stage.)
Galaga

Songs Played: Galaga Medley, Galaga (Club Mix), Namco Arcade 80's Retro Medley 1, Galaga '88 Medley.

Space Invaders

Super Smash Bros. Universe: Character Discussion.

For my second post I have decided to talk about the characters. To be exact, there are 125 characters in this game. Due to the large amount though, I won't be able to to announce the roster. Also, this contains some spoilers, as you do not start with every character. You must unlock them by completing the challenges (Which will be in another blog post). The image below is the full character roster, so please take some time to look at it first before requesting.

Overall, who is your favorite character? If you want to know mine, it would be Marth of the Fire Emblem series. He is also my main in the Smash series, as well as my game itself. Who is your favorite character? Let me know in the comments section.

Which character would any of you guys want to see next? There are some exceptions though. I will not allow fan-made characters. I will not accept characters from the following series as they have too much representation in the game for being a small series: Fairy Tail, Dragon Ball, Sword Art Online, One Piece, Minecraft, Five Nights at Freddy's, Mega Man, Bleach, Ristar, Super Monkey Ball, Crash Bandicoot, TMNT, Tales of Symphonia, Battletoads, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

However I highly suggest the following series: Kirby, Mother/Earthbound, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Pac-Man, Fire Emblem, Naruto, and Attack on Titan. In fact, AoT has very little representation, with only having two songs on a Naruto stage. So let me know what you want in the game in the comments section below. (Hint hint: Eren Jeager!!)

Super Smash Bros. Universe

Super Smash Bros. Universe is non-profit fan game created by me (Cherrim). It's popularity has sprung so high that I've decided to post a blog on it. This game is about various media of video games, anime, websites, and other media clashed into one game. It is known as the ultimate media game and is praised for it's expansive content but criticized for how big it is (3GB+) and the various glitches that can occur. Overall, it is stated to be a good game. Please, feel free to try it out!

There are many characters in this game, there are over 100!

There are also many stages to play!
